The snippet from Google, what is that?

I write this post for a question which have already done me a few times and that is not another "what is that of the snippet from Google?". Many speak of the "google snippet" the more naturally in the world, because it is part of our day to day, but there are many people who wondered does snippet?, from google?, what is that?, how?, will with diesel or gasoline?.
